  • BBQ sauce

Roasted some ribs the other day. Thought I'd use a tablespoon of BBQ sauce for dipping. Found some Kraft's Carb Well (3 carbs = 2 Tbs)

    BLEACCChhhhhh!

It was horrible - entirely too sweet! (I'm sure the artificial sweetners did that!).

Any know of a good, low carb BBQ sauce?

    Re: BBQ sauce

I just had some BBQ sauce with a hamburger patty for lunch. Quite tasty! Iused KC Masterpiece Low-Calorie Classic Blend. It has 10 calories in a serving and 2 carbs per 2 T. I like it better than Carb Well.

          Cocobelle,

I forgot my stupid cookbook at home. What a moron. I'll post a couple of these at home for you after I get home tonight. One is I believe a George Stella recipe, and the other might be a Dana Carpendar recipe....either way, they were good, I think I adjusted George Stella's a bit, toooo much splenda....too sweet.
Anyway, check it out this evening. Sorry!

                Re: BBQ sauce

Thanks Joy, I'll have to give Meema's Low Carb BBQ Sauce a try. That one sounds like it's better for us anyway. I think George Stella's has wayyyyy to much sugar in it. I do make his ketchup too, with half the sugar, so I could substitute it for Walden's. Pretty cool.....thank you for posting them, I was all set to type it up, don't you just love the internet...haha!

                    Re: BBQ sauce

I am glad I found this thread I was looking for low carb bbq sauce tonight at the store and luckily couldn't find any because now I can make my own. I'm going to try the meemas because I think I have all of those ingredients.

                    Thanks!

I started making my own ranch dressing from the recipe linda has on her site but I use hardly any splenda. I cant handle sweetness at all since Ive been on atkins. lol But the dressing is so good and easy I'll never go back to store bought. So I hope the bbq is the same.
