    Hi AmyInOrlando,

To me, flax seed meal has a slightly sweet nutty taste. As far as what you can do with it, to get started check here: http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...pic.php?t=5102

Thanks Kim..... I saw that list before and couldn't find it again when I tried to go back to it. Thanks for your help.

Where do you find flax seeds or flax seed meal? I looked in my local Kroger the other day and didn't see anything.

          Thanks!

            Hi BluesDaddy,

Some people say you can find it in the organic health foods section in some grocery stores. Not sure which ones though. I have to buy mine from GNC. If you live near a health food store, you might want to check there. Or maybe your local grocer would order it for you?

            Happy hunting,

check the health food section og your Kroger or look in the specialty flour area. The carry BoB's Red Mill brand.

The nutritional info on Bob's Red Mill shows, per serving, 4g carbs and 4g dietary fiber. Am I correct that these cancel each other out resulting in 0 net carbs?

                Thanks!

(Made flax pancakes this morning, topped just with butter and the egg yoke from my fried egg - not bad!)

Oh, BTW, found Bob's at Target's last night. They had both the seed and the meal, so I bought a bag of both. We have a "Whisper Mill" that should grind the seed really nicely.

there is some rounfing going on in there. It is actually .7 something for 2T of meal. You can look it up on fitday or at the USDA site. just remember they use seeds and 1T seeds = 2T meal

Of all the places, I found Flax Meal at a mexican store, lol I found some at Fiesta stores. Great price too, $1.99 for a 12 oz box.
