  • Pure De-lite Dark Chocolate bar

This bar was in my grocery store organic foods section. It is Imported Pure Belgian Chocolate. Net Wt. 1 1/3oz (38g). 173 calories, 13.6g fat, 1.1g carbs, 3.8g fiber, 0g sugar, 2g protein.

Ingredients: Cocoa Mass, Malitol, Cocoa Butter, Soy Lecithin, nat vanilla.

I was out alone and REALLY wanting to cheat (pizza, french fries, or chinese lo mein noodles!!). This chocolate bar saved me! It was delicious! nice and creamy!

The milk chocolate had over 3 carbs...3.7g I think.

    dessert time

i bought a Gol D Lite belgian chocolate bar...in country milk chocolate. it is 1.6 net carbs for 1/4 of a bar. it's really really good.

my favorite so far for dark chocolate is the carbolite bar. way better than the atkins endulge.

ok...so i kinda went nuts in the sugar-free candy section. i bought the asher's liquid caramel bar too. it is so incredibly good. definitely the best dessert type thing i've had. anyone had any of the other asher's chocolate stuff? i want to try more, but i liked the caramel one so much it's gonna be hard to want to buy something other than that.

i also got Simply Sugar Free chocolate & vanilla caramels (which are awesome) and Go Lightly sugar free (sweetened with Splenda) butterscotch. i think i've been pretty lucky so far in that i've loved everything i've bought...even though i just picked some random brands.

i remember seeing a poll or something about which was the best chocolate somewhere on this site? anyone know where that was?

Pure De-Lite maybe not so good

I found a 6 pack of these at walmart today for $5something. I picked up the box to re-read the carb level. These bars actually have something like 15g-20g of carbs. I figured I must have read the original package wrong. When I got home, I looked at the wrapper from the bar I ate the other day. Sure enough, it says 1.1g carbs.

Under the nutrition facts however it does say:

"Maltitol, a low-digestible carbohydrate, is omitted from the total carbohydrate count as its impact on blood sugar/ insulin levels is negligible."

So, do these carbs count or not???

Maltitol is ok! It may give a laxative effect if you eat too many. Some people stall while eating these bars though.

Those Pure Delite dark chocolate bars taste just like an expensive bar of chocolate. Yum. Well, it DID cost me $1.79 at Fred Meyer! Also, it did give me really bad runs. I plan on using it only if I ever need a laxative! Best tasting laxative ever

I've been eating the Mint Truffle Bar (0.1g net effective carbs) for a while and it tastes JUST like a York Peppermint Patty. I've also had the Peanut Butter Truffle Bar (1g net effective carb) and it also tastes pretty good, though the peanut butter was somewhat "dry" it was similar in taste to Reeses

I found these at Meijer (a similar store to a Super K-mart) for $1.40 each
