  • Shirataki noodles??

Can't seem to find too much info on them...
I read they are some type of root & found in fridge section...
    Are they induction friendly?
Anyone know where to get them?
What's the best way to cook them?
    Do they taste like pasta?
    Thanks!!

Yup, they are induction friendly because they are tofu, which is considered a soy cheese and is allowed on induction. I prefer the speghetti or angel hair kind over the fettuchini kind. They have an odd fishy smell when they come out of the package; it helps to boil them for 5-10 minutes before adding your favorite sauce. I like them best with alfredo, chicken and broccoli. Also good with marinara (and a spoonful of ricotta cheese or cream) -- very much like speghetti. Enjoy!

If you can find the real ones they are better than the tofu based ones but either are good. I haven't had those in years and completely forgot about them *eyes Safeway*

I like these alot and while they do smell fishy if you rinse them they have no real flavor of thier own and take on the flavor of the sauce you use.

I am feeling sick today and so am craving chicken noodles! So I am trying these with chicken stock. Will let you know what I think. They smell SO fishy when you take them out of the pack.
