Good question! I didn't even stop to question it because I was so overjoyed! hehe! I did some research on the net and this is the best quotes I could find re: the Diet Pepsi version which is O calories (haven't heard of the second two sugars)

      http://www.sun-sentinel.com/business/local/orl-asecslurpee21082103aug21,1,532437.story?coll=sfla-business-headlines

Pepsi researchers finally settled on a winning formula consisting of three sweeteners -- sucralose, erythritol and tagatose -- that allows the diet cola to freeze with the right consistency without compromising its taste.

and this website talks about Crystal Light which seems to "not" be calorie free but some of the ingredients have been made a "secret" due to patents:

      http://www.liquidiceusa.com/sugar_free.htm
Crystal Light is sweetened with sucralose. The challenge to the scientists was to add an additional element that would act like sugar in the freezing process, but not change the taste or the calorie content. Kraft's Mr. Murname says they scrapped three different attempts before getting it right. "We wanted that right mixture of airy and icy, the fine texture Slurpee is known for," Mr. Murname says.

      I don't know....hmmm.....what do you think 2big4mysize??

I called the 800 number on the Diet Pepsi Slurpee machine today (1-800-255-0711, option 2) and a very nice lady relayed the info she had on her "cheat sheet".

Just as the post above says, the sweeteners are sucralose and erythritol. An 8 oz serving has 0 calories but 2 carbs. ????

        Anyway, that is my report.

There is a problem with that 0 cal 2 carbs unless those are fiber carbs because carbs other then fiber have 4 cals per gram.

since the Diet pepsi has caffeine I'd skip it. but for the 2 carbs in the Crystal Light as long as you have already drunk your water it meets the drink standards.
Lordie I forgot to ask did you get a brain freeze from drinking fast?

RobinAnn, did you happen to ask about the Crystal Light Slurpees?? That's the one that's got me worried after I assumed it would be safe and slurpped a medium one right on down!! and....yes.....brainfreeze does come on quickly when there isn't much to freeze! hehe!
