If you go to their website, it lists in the ingredients SUGAR.
      Definately not for induction!

Plus has sugar alcohol in it, which stalls weight loss for lots of people.

      I"M staying away from it!

Haley...........there's an ice cream recipe on this board that's Atkin's friendly.

Sounds like the Blue Bunny Ice Cream with Splenda we got in a couple weeks ago at work. I'm glad we finally got the box of 4 cups Atkins Ice Cream in. Picking up some tonight to see how it goes over.

I had some of the low carb Breyers Ice Cream, omg that is some good stuff, but watch the intake. I'm hoping we get it where I work since we are getting in all sorts of other low carb items.

The Breyers low carb ice cream is soooo good. I'm still on induction, but i had about a quarter spoonfull the other dy and wow. Even though it was sweetend with splenda, i couldn't tell the difference between the regular and the low carb one. Just watch the intake.

                  Brandon,

Without knowing your goals and current level, it's a bit hard to say.

I don't know if you still consider yourself to be on a rigid induction, or have moved on to another stage.

I've been on Atkins 10 weeks now. I'm on what I call a modified induction- I eat less than 30 carbs/day, and occasionally eat peanuts or low carb ice cream. When I first tried CarbSmart, I had almost a double-sized serving and I did experience some craving reactions. Still, I was getting a bit bored with my diet and so I sort of went on a week of "maintenance", still low-carbing but having some variety. I still lost 2 pounds the week I ate it, although I still have quite a bit to lose.

I would say buying one carton of CarbSmart a month would be OK for most people.. If you start seeing the scale stop moving, cut it out. When you get to your target weight, of course, you'll have more freedom to enjoy it.

                  Keep on losing!

We have a fun birthday tradition. We started having ice cream for breakfast ... or should I say, ALONG with breakfast on birthdays. The kids (we have 4) love this and get to choose the (non carb) ice cream of their choice (plus we always have vanilla or sherbet). It tastes great on waffles! The Breyers allows me to not be a party pooper so 6 times a year I'll eat it guiltfree... BTW the french vanilla has great flavor!

MMMM... the Bryer's Carb Smart with Hood's Low Carb Choc Milk, makes an OUTSTANDING chocolate shake. (not for induction, though.. boohoo) I had this pre-Atkins and couldn't tell it was low carb.

I bought the Breyer's strawberry and put it in the blender (just a small scoop) with some ice and a dash of cream and it came out to the the BEST shake. Pretty good for an "every once in a while" treat.

Be careful with their strawberry flavor. You'll find high fructose corn syrup on the ingredient list! It is not in the chocolate or vanilla.
