  • Alcohol: 10 Cane Rum

I'm new here but I've been doing Atkins for a long time now. Any help you guys could give me would be awesome!

When I go out, my favorite Atkins-friendly alcoholic drink is rum and coke. A friend recently had me try it with a different type of rum: 10 Cane.

I tried finding nutrition information and came up blank. I know 10 Cane is a little different than normal rums. It's a bit sweeter and has a distinct taste and apparently its made different than typical rums.

That being said, does anyone know what kind of carb content 10 Cane rum has?

    Thanks in advance!

I was also unable to find the exact carb content of 10 cane, but as far as I could tell 10 cane seems to be more like cachaca than actual rum. According to drinkmixer.com and dailyplate, cachaca has 0 carbs. So, I would think you be safe in drinking it as you would drink rum, with paying mind to its effects on keitosis like any alcohol. It does say on wikipedia's article on cachaca that homebrews of it can contain added sugar. Hope that helps!

If you've been doing Atkins for a long time, what phase are you on? Your status says "Induction", which probably isn't true?
