  • Aunt Paula's chocolate chip cookies

A friend recommended these to me. They are delicious - taste like chocolate chip shortbread. Supposedly they have .62g carb per cookie (that's without the other ingredients added; the added ingredients include shortening, butter and and egg).

However, these are so good that I could not control myself when eating them. I was craving more, and the calories add up quickly.

    Where do you buy these?

        Carb count

I went to the website, but I did not find the actual carb count. Do you know what the carb count is per cookie, adding the sugar alcohols in? (In other words, taking the total carbs, minus the fiber, but not subtracting out the sugar alcohols.)

        Thanks,
        Donna

Yep, here you go...and the writing on the package is so small, that I am struggling to read it with my glasses! This is for the mix only (not the other ingredients)

          Serving size: 1 cookie
          calories: 86.33
          Total fat: 3.7g
          Sat Fat: .79
          Chol: 2.0g
          Total carbs: 3.96g
Low glycemic sweeteners: Lo Han fruit concentrate: .21g; whey sweetener or arythritol: 1.17g; Malitol (in choc chips): .92g; Fiber; 1.04g
          Protein: 9.3g

The other ingredients are (for a batch of 24 cookies): 1 egg; 1/4 c. shortening (butter flavor crisco sticks); one stick real butter; 1 TBS water.

I bought a package of 4 low-carb cookies, they were peanut butter cookies, but they had chocolate chip too... they were at my local grocery store with some other low carb products. (I also bought some Atkins peanut butter cups and holy BOO were they DELICIOUS!!!!! $@#$#)

I am still convinced they are poison though because after I eat stuff like that I just want more and more and I figure when that happens it just can't be good.
