I tried the MiniCarb bake mix yesterday for breading and it does very well for chicken and mushrooms. It has zero carbs in it - and I found it at Wal-Mart. I wonder how in the world can it do so good and have zero carbs..hmmmm..ponder ponder (almost seems to good to be true). I know it is made with soy and wheat. It is also cheaper (but in a smaller amount) then the Atkins Bake mix. $4.35/ box. My mom who is also on OWL tried the MiniCarb Parmesian Herb Pizza Dough and said it was very good - just a little harder than regular dough to roll out though (you definantly need a good rolling pin).

I tried the Pizza - had to almost double the oil and water in it to even try to roll it out but it was pretty good - better than no pizza at all.

I also tried the Snickerdoodle cookies - these were good but I would make them a little smaller then recomended (maybe make 24 instead of 18 ) because they have a tendency to spread on the pan - when you make them they are the consistency of pancake batter and turn into crunchy cookies not soft ones.

The chocolate breakfast cereal looks like poo on the front of the box but reminds me of a chocolate oatmeal - a good break from all of the eggs and meat for breakfast. I added a little more cream and water and splenda then recomended and even added a little butter to it. yum.

I tried the MiniCarb apple cinnamon granola. Guess I'll be sticking to eggs, as it was very meally and bland in flavor. 4 carbs was appealing, and if I get desperate enough I suppose I would eat it.
