  • Write to Jello!

I wrote to Jello (they are made by Kraft), and let them know that sugar-free Jello is not Atkins-friendly because it has aspartame (Nutrasweet) and asked if they would consider making Atkins-friendly Jello products made with Splenda.

I think if enough of us spoke out to them, they might listen.
    What the heck?

Great idea. With 50,000.000 of us on lowcarb diets I think they will listen

::P Well, I sent an email to Jello, and here is their response. It's promising, but maybe if more people chime in, they might listen more!

        Re: Write to Jello!

Hmmmmmm, I wonder if they're STILL considering it?

Any of you other Canadians ever find anything (or are interested in) in the non-aspartame gelatin packages line anywhere in Canada (or are aware of any coming up, say in the President's Choice line, for example)?

Want to know if it's worth importing the stuff... without having some big company "come up behind me" and run me over with their own brand right here in Canada (like happened to the Heinz 1-Carb Ketchup). Sheesh.

In the meantime you can tell them you'll just buy the one that IS made with Splenda, here

            Re: Write to Jello!

Just to let you know, that in Canada, you can buy a ready made jello that is sweetened with Splenda. It is in the aisle with the ready made puddings. It is made by Hunts and comes in a 4 pack (2 orange, 2 strawberry) Britain has a blackberry jello powder that I believe is sweetened with sucralose (made by Rowntree)

You can make your own jello with Knox unflavored gelatin, Slpenda and sugar free Kool Aid or the Crystal Light that's in the bottles.

Is it the Jello Brand or the Jolly Rancher brand?

                    Re: Write to Jello!

I, too, was wondering if it were the Jello brand. If it is it must be extremely new. The 6 pack of the Jello brand premade I have in the fridge is made with aspertame, not splenda.

Mog - this picture is from the link you posted. I wonder what's in the recipe? I mean I know we can't have the crust but the filling is jello mixed with whipped cream or?

                          Re: Write to Jello!

Geez, if they add splenda that's just another product I can't have. I'm allergic to splenda but aspertame is fine for me. Tastes better too. Will deffinantly not be writing to jello.

what about the pudding that jello makes (in canada) it is in the refrigerated section. has quite a few carbs, so for 0wl not induction. No sugar there! Can people eat it (not me I am on induction!)
