  • CedarLane Four Cheese Quiche

Hey guys just thought I should tell you all about this microwaveable meal I found.

I think it would actually be ok during an extended induction or owl. It does have corn starch but very little. Over all taste, umm pretty good for a microwave meal lol. I liked it anyway.

Ok it's called..CedarLane Carb Buster Four Cheese Quiche and has 5 carbs total.

Ingredients: Rennetless cheddar cheese, natural egg white, rennetless monterrey jack cheese, cream, mushrooms, rennetless parmesan cheese, rennetles mozzarella cheese, onion, turmeric, corn starch.

    What is rennetless cheese?

Rennet is an enzyme used in the production of cheese. Rennetless defines any cheese made without the use of animal derived coagulants. Typically they are vegetable or microbial instead.

excuse me for being ignorant... but why does this have not rennet? Is it bad for you? I thought it was an essential part of eating cheese?

Could be they want to appeal to the strict vegetarians and vegan crowds? They don't eat anything with animals or animal byproducts in them.

*edited to add* I just looked at their site and it looks like all their products are meatless. I'll have to see if I can find some of their stuff in the stores.

Didn't notice the eggs. :yikes Course some of the things like Boca Burgers and such have things that aren't vegan friendly but are vegetarian friendly.

I don't understand C2 and Pepsi Edge either.. you either want the sugar or you don't right?
