  • Maribelle's LoCarb SeaFood Chowder

    1T. butter
    1/8 c. chopped onion
    1 clove garlic, chopped
    1 3.53 oz. packet of whole baby clams (do not drain)
    4oz. (6 average) scallops,
    1/4 cup water
    2 bay leaves
    1 t. parsley flakes
    1/2 c. heavy whipping cream
    salt and pepper to taste

    Melt butter in a sauce pan, sautee onions and garlic, add scallops and clams with juice, when sauteed up well, add water, bay leaves, and parsly and simmer for 10 minutes. Then add cream, and continue simmering for 15 minutes or so. It comes out a trifle runny, but the taste is marvelous. Enjoy.

    Thank you for posting this. I have been wanting a seafood chowder really bad. I will give it a try tomorrow.
