  • Pizza Quiche Recipe

Ask and ye shall receive Feelin The Power This is one of my favorites and filling? Holy cow!! LOL We eat this dinner and I eat left overs for breakfast too. Leave out anything, add anything. It's awesome!

    Ingredients:
    pepperoni
    sausage
    canadian bacon
    1/2 bell pepper chopped
    5 eggs
    1 cup heavy cream
    2 cups shredded mozarella
    1 cup shredded cheddar
    1/2 cup shredded parmesean
    onion powder
    garlic powder
    salt/pepper to taste.

    How to Prepare:

Cook sausage and cut up pepperoni and bacon. In large bowl, mix eggs, cream, powders, salt and pepper well. Add remaining ingredients and mix. Pour into dish. You may need to spread out the meat. Bake for approx. 40 minutes or till golden brown and when a knife is inserted in middle, it comes out clean. Let cool for 10 minutes before cutting. This is a basic quiche recipe just done up! Add black olives or even spread a little sugar free pizza sauce on top.

I had pizza quiche for breakfast this morning and never even thought about adding cream to it.Bet yours rises more then mine and is less eggy. man Brook I really really need your cook book. I save the mozzarella and the sauce and spread them on during the last 10 minutes to get it to look like real pizza.

It really does rise beautifully and isn't eggy at all. *Love* the stuff! And portion control really isn't an issue because between the meat/eggs/cream/cheese, if you hit someone with a slice, you're likely to take their head off! LOL It is divine, but heavvvvvy!

I don't use sauce on mine, but I do melt a bit of mozz on top. Yum yum yum!

I have never made nor eaten a quiche ever but tried this today with a little sauce and cheese on top. It was wonderful!

I was trying to add it to the fit day thing but got all confused. Either way I had it with a salad and will probably have another bit for supper.

          wonderful I cooked at 350 f or 180 c
left out the sausage at it is loaded with carbs in the country
no onion powder didn't sell it at the store
or shredded cheddar as min was frozen bout the bell pepper
but by the time I added mushrooms and olives as well there seemed to be no room
I might ad the extra cheese next time I make it and a few more mushrooms and olives but it was wonderful

I tried a little variation of this last night and it was GREAT.

I browned sausage and grilled my mushrooms in the sausage grease as it was nearly finished. Then I left the cheese out as someone earlier in this thread mentioned. I put pepperonis on the surface of the egg mixture and they "floated" and stayed there (just had to be careful not to slosh too much putting it in the oven). Then I put the cheese on it during the last ten minutes so it got nice and brown and bubbly like real pizza. Next time I might hold off on the pepperoni's til this stage as well.

Another thing I did was slide a little butter around the pan this made the edges brown beautifully.

The original post (oops brook!) didn't specify the temp to bake this at, so I winged it at 375. I saw someone else post a different quiche recipe but basically the same principle of cream and eggs with stuff mixed in and it said 350, but mine turned out great. Maybe personal preference but the edges were pretty brown but this gave it great texture ...and just like real pizza it made the corner pieces the best part!

I know this was already asked in this thread, but it never got answered. How many servings and how many carbs per serving?

                besides meat...
                ingredients carb count
                5 eggs 3.6
                2 cup mozzarella 7.1
                1 cup cheddar 2.16
1 tbs parmesan .71 (I don't like parmesan so I will be cutting it!)
                1 cup cream 6.64
                total 20.21

Now, heavy whipping cream on the label says 0 carbs, but I am assuming it's because one serving has less than 1g?

Let's say you divide it by 6 pieces of a pie size quiche we'd have 3.4g net carbs per serving.

Does this sound about right to anybody?
