  • Low Carb Crab Cakes

    Just found this while looking for seasoning combos for sausage. We love sausage and it's so hard to find them w/o sugar!! I haven't tried it but it sure looks good and I've been craving a nice crab cake ever since our guard had them for lunch yesterday...

    Perfect for seafood lovers,especially those who enjoy the flavor of Old Bay.
    INGREDIENTS:

    3 oz. bag of pork rinds, crushed
    3-4 tbs. water
    2 c. canned crab meat (4 cans)
    1/3 c. finely minced onion
    1/3 c. finely minced celery
    1/3 c. finely minced green peppers
    1 egg, beaten
    3/4 c. mayonaisse
    1 tsp. mustard
    2 tsp. lemon juice
    1 tsp. Worchestershire sauce
    1/4 tsp. hot pepper sauce
    1 tbs. Old Bay seasoning
    1 tbs. minced parsley
    1/4 tbs. black pepper
    PREPARATION:

    Use water to soften pork rind crumbs. Mix all ingredients. Form into patties. Pan fry in oil.

    That sounds tasty. I have also had a lot of luck making crab cakes with whole oat bran in place of the bread crumbs.
