This tuna burger receipe I came up with myself, the ones I made before adkins had bread crumbs in them and that really helped to bind it together but this low carb version is really tastey you just have to be careful with it so it dosent fall apart. I of course chop it up and put it on salad so it dosent matter much anywhoo. lol.
I Think next time I make it Im going to try crushed pork rindes and see if that works in place of bread crumbs. you might wanna try that too. Prob a tbls or two would work.
the second version is a chicken burger variation which I just tryed yesterday and was very good as well.
Tuna Burger
makes 2 small burgers or one large
16oz can tuna (I use water packed)
1 tsp. hot sauce
1 tbls. Mayo
1 tsp. dill weed
1 egg white (could use the whole egg if doing two cans tuna... egg white is enough for one can though)
Drain tuna well, squeezing all the water out of it untill its kinda dry and flakey. Mix with other ing. and make into 2 small patties or one large pattie.
I find making them thinner works better and give you a better flavor but its really up to you.
spray pan with cooking spray, get the pan kinda hot before you put the burger in which will give it a nice golden outside layer.
enjoy alone or over salad...... Itailan dressing tastes really good on this.

this one is great for left over chicken
Chicken burgers
1 cup finely diced cooked chicken
1 tbls mayo
tsp. mrs dash
1/8 tsp hot pepper flakes
1 tsp hot sauce
1 egg white (again use whole egg if doing two cups chicken)
mix ing. together. form two small patties and fry in hot pan coated with cooking spray.

This is a fun recipe to play around with, I use different herbs and spices in both variations which gives total different flavor, I hate being bored with my food. add and omit ingredients to form something that tastes awesome
If anyone trys this tell me how you like it
