  • Simple Pastrami Roll..sooooo good

I was having a problem trying to find something to take to a potluck. So I love to experiment and came up with this quick roll. Tested on my hubby he ate 6. I had two as my main meal got to remember the carbs.

    Ingredients I used:
Thin sliced Pastrami (I used Hillshire Farms) 0 Carbs
Low fat Provolone 1 carb per slice
Lowcarb wheat Tortilla shell ( I use Missions Lowcarb Brand, the small ones have 4 carbs a piece.)
    Butter melted or spreadable

Very easy take your melted butter and butter one side of your tortilla. On the non buttered side layer your pastrami and cheese, (I used 1 slice of cheese and three slices of pastrami.) Roll it up and secure with a tooth pick. Then fry them in a dry pan because you already have butter on the outside of your rolls, until golden brown. Make sure you remember to roll them so you brown all sides. I use a toothpick until my opening side is fried shut then I remove the toothpick and fry the other sides. These are so good the pastrami gets hot and the provolone cheese melts like mozzarella. Then the nice buttery crust just make these heavenly. Just remember there about 5 carbs a piece depending on ingredients used. Love them
Starting over is never fun, but atleast I'm still fighting.
