hey, I got my muffin top maker!

it was 10.99 and I ordered it on Amazon!

I'm using it to make those cheese danish things that someone posted on another thread. MMMMMMMmmmm

I saw this recipe and I was wondering if the buns are induction friendly?

i was planning to make these tomorrow as buns for our hamburgers. i didn't have time to stop at linens-n-things for a muffin top pan. anyone have a suggestion for something that i can bake in that would give them a round shape?

I'm not sure Deb. On Linda's Website she doesn't have them as "Induction Friendly". The only reason I could think is maybe the onion (I don't use that anyways), and maybe it is to much Flax. I think you are suppose to limit yourself to 2tblsp. Julie may be a good person to ask

Maybe a regular muffin pan??? They have mini loaf pans but they aren't round. I had a hard time finding the muffin top pan. Target and Walmart don't carry them.

Re: Flax Bun Sandwich with Slaw

i totally improvised on the pan thing. i looked at my regular muffin pans and thought that they would have been too small for a burger. i remembered that i have these little stainless steel rings with handles for frying eggs in perfectly round shapes. i sprayed them with pam, then sprayed a cookie sheet with pam, placed the rings on the sheet, scooped the mix into the rings and baked that way. they look pretty nice, actually! i haven't tasted them yet, but they smelled so good with the onion and caraway seed baking.... mmmm! many thanks for posting this one!

by the way, Oh.2.B.Fit, your recipes are fantastic!! are you a chef? if not, you should be!

Oh, that was a GREAT idea Lulu!!!
                      No, I'm not a chef
                      I've always HATED cooking.
                      Now I LOVE it.
I've had to buy things like mixing bowls cause I never had any...lol.
Linda's site with the recipes has been a life saver for me with this WOE.
I've been thinking about doing recordings on YouTube of cooking, but I haven't gotten brave enough yet...lol. AND I think I'll laugh through the whole thing. Doing it may help keep me motivated though. Cooking, posting, taking pics of the things I cook really helps keep me motivated. I'm glad everyone likes it so much

Re: Flax Bun Sandwich with Slaw

That picture gave me an idea to try out with the muffin recipe... so I made up a portion without the cinnamon and just a dash of splenda, large dash of garlic and onion powder and 'dash'... went to grab an egg and we were out.... 'what to do... what to do...' so wetted it down with water and placed in flat soup bowl... microwaved altogether 2 minutes... til all the wettness gone... let it cool and it got crunchy... in a really good way.... had it with a hamburger, cheese , tomatoe and lettuce with mustard and mayo.... OMG! It was the best thing ever! I mean EVER!
either that or I was starved... but made my husband tasste it and even he liked it... if ever there was a non atkins person it would be him... so that's a good taster.
Anyway, never would have tried that if not for your recipe and that other recipe and the fact that I was out of eggs...
                                Thanks!
