  • Taco in a cup

    Hi all,
Tonight Serena and I made "Tacos in a cup" I got the idea from a blog on blogger. They were made with Tacobell tortillas Anyways, I decided to make them with Flatout wraps. I took a bowl and cut two circles out of each Flatout wrap. With the extra pieces of wrap I made chips. I put the circles in the microwave for about 10 seconds to get soft. Then I pressed them gently into muffin tins. I baked them at 350 for 10-15 minutes (the chips too on foil) until they got hard and crispy. I made ground beef with taco seasoning (I use Linda's taco seasoning recipe). Then you can put whatever you like on them. I put ground beef, sharp cheddar cheese, lettuce, salsa, sour cream and olives...YUMMY!!! I wish I had avocado. Anyways it was delish and low carb. The flat wraps are 6 carbs (I ate two bowls and 6 chips which equaled one wrap) and they rest of the carb count just depends on what you put on them. They're small, but good And Serena gobbled them up!!!

Here's some pics, and we made a video which should be up later tonight or tomorrow

Yum, those look great! I unfortunately have cut back on the wraps for the moment since I think they are stalling me but I will definitely try it when I can allow the wraps back in.

P.S.) Awesome before and after, keep up your great work!

Do any of us Brits remember that pub food 80's craze, "Chicken in a Basket"?

Reading this thread, just gave me a 1989 Mental Moment Flashback.

Since I can't indulge in wraps (they make me gain/stall) - I've made these before using the 'cheese bowls' and once using cabbage for the bowl. They are delicious.

Nicole~ What a great idea and how fun. I love that fact that you & your daughter are on youtube cooking together (other recipe's looked good too)... I am on a mission to find those wraps. By the time I find them, I will probably be on rung 8. I know my family will love them. Thanks for showing everyone the creativity you can have on this WOE.
