Blue Cheese Stuffed Buffalo Chicken Breasts

  • Blue Cheese Stuffed Buffalo Chicken Breasts

    Ingrediants
    • 4-6 boneless chicken breasts
    • approx. 16 oz. crumbled Blue Cheese
    • Hot Wing Sauce (home-made is always the best, you know what is in it)
    • 2 celery stalks cut into thin strips for side or garnish
    Directions
    1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees
    2. Salt and pepper the chicken breasts
    3. With a sharp knife cut pockets into the chicken and stuff with blue cheese, use a tooth pick to secure your pocket
    4. Sear chicken breasts on each side about 3-4 minutes, until brown
    5. Bake 10-15 minutes in oven (or until done... )
    6. Generously cover chicken with hot sauce and bake an additional 5 minutes
    7. Remove toothpicks and drizzle a little more hot sauce
    8. Garnish with celery strips

    Hot sauce mixed with butter and white vinegar on the stove top (hey, I never said I was complex!)

        I'll have to try this as well. I've been playing with buffalo chicken a lot lately. I've never added vinegar to the sauce, may have to try that. As it is now, I do 1/2 cup hot sauce 1/2 cup butter. It's pretty mild. I would like to find a terryaki wing sauce as well.

          This meal is great!
          I've made twice now, and the last time I put a little feta in there as well... I've also found that using the Franks Buffalo sauce versus the plain hot sauce works wonders!

          Actually even making for dinner tonight!
