So far this is my FAVORITE thing to eat for dinner! Greek food is one of my favorite cuisines, not only is greek food delish but it's very atkins friendly!
One of my favorite things to make is Greek Beefteki which is ground beef stuffed with feta cheese.
1lb. Ground beef
1-2tbs Thyme
Salt & Pepper to taste
If your past induction, you can add 2tbs. of tzakziki sauce to the mix, otherwise add 1-2tbs. of mayo.
Mix it all together, and make 4 patties, lay feta cheese onto 2 patties, (about 1/4 inch thick), and lay another patty on top, press down the edges good so when cooking the cheese doesn't melt out.
I cook it in my george foreman grill for about 6-7 minutes.
You can also just make 4 patties, and sprinkle feta cheese on top when its done cooking...it's still good, but the cheese doesn't get all melted and yummy like when it's in the middle of the patty!
I have olives as an appetizer, and like to top my beefteki with sliced onions.
This is awesome with a greek salad with homemade oil/vinegar dressing with a squeeze of lemon!
