  • Shrimp EnBrochette...

    My husband's favorite meal...

1 pound shrimp, peeled and deveined with tail on or off
1 pound ofbacon cut in half
    jalepenos
monterey jack cheese cut into small rectangles
    toothpicks or skewers

Slice jalepenos into small strips. Put them against the curve of the shrimp, place a piece of cheese next to it (I usually leave the cheese off because it is a pain and it usually leaks out anyway), wrap the bacon around it and secure with the toothpick or if grilling with a skewer.

I usually do them early and drizzle with some olive oil and some Tony Cacheres seasoning. If grilling, I melt some butter with garlic and baste them with it. If cooking inside, I use my grill pan and cook them in melted butter. If you cook them inside, disconnect your smoke alarm first and open all of the windows :nod .
