      Re: chicken curry

      Thanks for the recipe. I love curry, but DH isn't a fan so I have it when he's eating elsewhere.

      Gonna try this tonight.

            Re: chicken curry

            Sure, but it should come with a warning label, since smelling it for 6 hours in the slow cooker nearly drove me out of my mind. I used a cheap package of pork (1.49 pound) that I cut into around 2" chunks and used hot chili powder. I had alot of juice left (which made the dogs happy cause they get some juice over their food), but if you wanted you could cook it down on the stove and add a touch of Xanthum. I served it with Guacamole and sour cream. Maybe I'll copy this over into the never ending induction thread.

            Pork Carnitas, Crock Pot

            Recipe By :Antilope
            Serving Size : 8 Preparation Time 00
            Categories : Crockpot Main Dish
            Pork

            Amount Measure Ingredient -- Preparation Method
            -------- ------------ --------------------------------
            4 pounds pork loin, lean, boneless
            4 cups chicken broth
            2 tablespoons garlic powder
            2 tablespoons onion powder
            2 tablespoons cumin
            1 tablespoon chili powder
            2 teaspoons ground coriander
            1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper
            1 tablespoon lime juice
            1/4 teaspoon salt

            ~~~This is an easy way to make delicious Carnitas (Mexican style shredded pork) in a crock pot.
            1. Add hot chicken broth to crock pot.
            2. Add spices and lime juice to crock pot and mix well into chicken broth.
            3. Add pork to crock pot.
            4. Cover and cook on High for 4 to 6 hours or until most of water is reduced and a thick gravy like sauce forms.
            5. Shred meat and mix into thickened cooking sauces.
