Okay this recipe will vary in carbs depending upon what you put in it and how much you put in it. I'm only giving an approximate recipe because your butter will be unique and will suit your own taste

Compound Butter
1 stick butter (1/4 pound)
Your choice of any combination of
1 tablespoon finely chopped fresh herbs
1 tablespoon dried spices
Soften the butter in a bowl. Add your choice of herbs and/or spices. Mix together. Then put on a piece of plastic wrap. Using the edges of the plastic roll the butter blob into a log, about 8 inches long. Roll and secure in the plastic wrap and freeze until firm. Cut into 8 equal rounds. Wrap the pieces in plastic wrap and freeze until you use them.
Some Uses:
1. Put a butter round on top of a hot piece of meat, like steak, chops or chicken breast.
2. Toss the butter round with hot cooked vegetables like broccoli or spaghetti squash
3. Stuff the softened butter under the skin of a whole chicken and roast. Or stuff it into chicken breasts and cook.
4. Finish a sauce with it: after you fry a steak, a chop or chicken breast, wipe away any excess fat with a paper towel. Add about a 1/2 cup to 1 cup of water to the pan and let it boil, as you scrape the pan with a spoon. Bring it to a rapid boil and let the mixture reduce by about a third. Take off the heat and add a round of the butter, swirl the butter around until it melts and slightly thickens the sauce. Do not let this sauce boil again or it will turn oily and separate (yucky). Pour onto your steak, chop, or chicken breast.
Some combos I like and what I use them for:
Parsley, Sage and Rosemary: Great for pork, chicken, spaghetti squash
Parsley and Tarragon: Chicken and fish
Parsley, Lemon Rind and Black Pepper: Spaghetti squash, fish, chicken, beef, cauliflower
Parsley, Oregano, Rosemary: Spaghetti squash, pork, beef, chicken
Basil and Garlic Powder: Spaghetti squash, steammed cauliflower and chicken
Make up your own combinations to suit your taste. You can also use single ingredients like curry powder or chili powder or dry mustard powder, just make sure the ingredients are legal.
