      Okay, a new thing to be thankful for, Elizellen and her recipes!

      I have got to order some of that gluten stuff!
      The only bread I could find had 9 carbs! YIKES.

      I am so making some of this.

        I mixed up twice the quantity in order to make a loaf and then couldn't find my loaf tin! Sooo, made three bagels and six rolls...

        I then realised I used original quantity of butter! I have no idea what they will taste like but they look good.

          I found Vital Wheat gluten near the yeast at Walmart for $1.94.

            Okay, I made some bread this morning. I don't know what the heck I did wrong but it is only about an inch high! LOL
            Any ideas on what I did wrong. I put in the 2 teaspoons of baking powder. Should I add more?

            Would really appreciate any help with this you guys could give.

              OK, I am baking a large loaf now... this could just save me Ellizellen - not just huge amounts of money over time but also from being tempted to cheat.... for the first time... some low carb bread should have been delivered from lowcarbmegastore today and it didn't turn up. I have been looking forward to my mexican scrambled eggs on toast all day and now I have no toast except the regular carby type... and yes, I did consider it but am now baking this loaf instead. Thanks
