Came up with a pretty good BBQ-esque type sauce today. We used it on shredded pork, but I think it would be good to marinate with. I think it could be spicier, but if you don't like heat in your foods, then I wouldn't add anymore and you may even want to cut back on the cayenne. It's not as thick or sweet as normal bbq sauces, but I thought it was pretty good.
Not So BBQ Sauce
4 c chicken broth
3 T mustard
1/4 t red pepper flakes
1/2 T garlic powder
1 T Worchestershire sauce
1/4 t cayenne pepper
1/2 c white vinegar
Throw it all together in a pot; bring to boil. Stir and then simmer for a while.
I forgot to measure how much it makes in total, but it's between 4-5 cups. So may carb calculations come out to 2-2.4 carbs per quarter cup. Most BBQ sauces are more than that for 1-2 T!
