artichokes or turnips?

Which one tastes like potatoes, and can we eat it? I know I've had one before, but can't remember which....
Thought maybe I could fool my family on Thanksgiving and still have that mashed potato taste.

Hi both artichokes AND turnips are on the Approved 1 cup veggie list for Induction.

The turnip is more potato-like than the artichoke.
