  • starving at work!

Well, here I am sitting at a desk and I am starving! I have only eaten about a fourth cup of spinach and a hard boiled egg so far today. I am on induction, so I am looking for induction friendly quick fixes I can grab at the store and prepare here in the kitchenette (with only a microwave and sink). I want something hearty!

You're in luck if you have a microwave and a sink at the office. You can bring leftovers from dinner the night before to heat and eat. I do that frequently.

Eggs can be scrambled in the microwave. You can even make the mock danish recipe (do a forum search for it, because the recipe is always around).

Megs is right. Do you have access to a fridge? I keep some single serving packages Cracker Barrel cheese in the fridge at work for a snack. I also keep a small jar of mayo in the fridge, and those packets of tuna in my desk drawer, and mix up some tuna salad for lunch sometimes. I always have hardboiled eggs too.

Always always always keep plenty of food around so you don't end up in a desperate situation and eat something illegal.

You can do wonders with a microwave (do you have a fridge?)

Bring in any leftovers and heat in microwave! (leftover bacon for breakfast is great!)

        String Cheese

Kippers (kippered herring, comes in a can)

Veggies don't even need a fridge, brocolli, celery with cream cheese, cauliflower and dip if you want.

If you have a fridge you can bring in and make a lot of different things (or at least re-heat them)

Kippers (kippered herring, comes in a can)

They are basically "like" sardines....I used to eat them only at the beach with saltines, and they were sooo good. They aren't quite the same without the saltines, but they are a great sorce of fat and protein and 0 carbs.

What do you eat them with?

I make a big bowl of tuna or egg salad and keep it at work so I can eat on for a couple of days.
or I used canned chicken to make lettuce wraps.
at home I warm up the canned chicken in the skillet with a couple of dashes of sesame oil and a dash of soy sauce 1 packet of splenda add a some diced celery for crunch and some hot red pepper flakes for spice. pack this up in a bowl and take it with you (make alot because you'll wish for more) then eat this in lettuce leaves its good hot or cold.

I microwaved turkey bacon today. 4 strips for 3 minutes and let it cool. It's like bacon flavored tortilla chips. I made a cream cheese dip (cayene pepper and green peppers), yummy. Pork rinds with tuna fish are good, as well as tuna stuffed celery. If you're really hungry, make your hamburgers at home, bring some to work and pile some shredded cheese on top, very filling. I get sick of salads, so I have a nice big one with dinner. When I worked, I always had pork rinds, sunflower and pumpkin seeds in my desk. Pork rinds will keep you drinking your water too. Don't go without eating though. You have to eat to lose!
