flax seed stuff

I'm looking for flax seed recipies, hot cereal in particular.

I'll be honest with you; I have not had much luck using flax seed meal in a hot cereal. It tends to turn the texture slimy. It is possible that the people who are commercially producing flax based hot cereals put the seed through some process to de-slime them, but I don't know what that is.

I make an aweosme cereal and was told my 2big when started the secret to not make it slimy:
I pulse 3 T of flax seed
then add some cinnamon, then add boiled water just until stiff consistnecy like oatmeal, if too much hot water it goes slimy, then I top with strawberries and cream, I have it everyday.Let me know what you think of it.
