How about a nice hearty chili?
Brown your turkey in a frying pan (I like cast iron). Toss it in a slow crockpot or a pot on the stove with a can of black soybeans, a can or two of plain tomato paste with no sugar added (or a few tomatoes, or a can of tomatoes pureed), half a can of plain chicken broth (no ingredients other than chicken broth; some have corn syrup and other higher carb junk in them) and any other ingredients to your taste and carb allowance. If you like you can brown some diced onions along with the turkey and toss them in. I like some freshly ground pepper and a few cloves of crushed garlic. A little hot sauce and a few Jalapeno or Serrano peppers won't hurt either - spice it up to taste.
The basic chile spices are Mexican chile powder and cumin. Some chile seasoning mixes have things like starch or sugar, so pay attention to your seasoning. If you can't find a decent chile seasoning mix that doesn't contain high carb garbage, use straight powdered chiles and some cumin to taste. Warning: cumin has a strong flavor so don't overdo it. Just a touch'll do ya.
A good low carb chili has LOTS of meat and less of everything else, so make your proportions luxurious!
Serve the chile smoking hot with a piece of Perfect Not Corn Bread - http://www.atkinsdietbulletinboard.c...c.php?p=144902 Some sour cream and shredded cheese on top will make the meal about perfect if that fits into your carb budget.
Black soybeans are a lower carb ingredient, but they still have some carbs at 8 grams per half cup serving. So use plenty of meat in this chili and budget your portions so that you are eating only the portion of soy beans that your carb allowance permits. They should not be used on Induction.

I see that someone already posted a suggestion for chili. I make chili with green beans instead of kidney beans to keep the carbs down and it tastes great.
I also use ground turkey to make a "meat crust" pizza. Mix your ground turkey with Italian seasonings and press it in a pan. Top with pizza sauce (read your labels!), mozzarella cheese, and your favorite vegetable toppings.

Mexican Meatball Soup
Make meatballs from your ground turkey with a little minced onion and a dash of salt and cumin mixed in. Form them into little balls, then:
Bring Chicken stock to a boil (at least 4 cups)
Drpo meatballs into boiling stock and boil gently till cooked through.
Add about 1 T fresh lime juice to broth, and some cracked pepper.
Dish into bowls and have everyone garnish their own with:
minced green onions
sour cream
shredded cheese
black olives
avocado
diced tomato
You can also make this with diced chicken breast instead of meatballs.5'5"

ground turkey
Hi
I made a turkey taco salad the other night, was very good, son even liked it. Just use your turkey like hamburger meat, i added garlic, cumin, chili powder, and about 1/2 cup water after the turkey was browned and let that simmer a few min until the water was cooked out. We then topped it with lettuce, cheese, tomato, black olives, and onion. And of course some hot sauce.
I made the meat crust pizza with hamburger meat and it was good, but i am a TURKEY LOVER, so my next meat crust pizza will be made with turkey, cant wait to try that!!!!!!!!!!!!
God Bless ya'll
Pam
