It doesn't have to be breakfast food in the morning. you can eat leftovers from lunch or supper.
Like left over meat(roast, hamburger patty, steak)
chef salad
vegetables on the lists
Just look at the allowed list and if it is appealing to you in the morning, have some for breakfast.
Hope this helps. It may make eggs and cheese look pretty good . LOL :laughing
I've always eaten meat or fish for breakfast. I used to eat meat or fish with rice and green tea, but I've cut out the rice and replaced it with green salad.
People in different cultures have different ideas about what constitutes breakfast. You may be used to the idea that eggs and cheese have to be part of breakfast, but there's really no reason it has to be.
Some good breakfast options:
Bacon or sausage over a "muffin" - use the Mock Danish recipe and omit the sugar, or any low carb bread recipe. Many low carb bread recipes contain eggs, but some don't.
Zucchini or turnip hash browns fried in butter or in tasty fat drippings. Eggs are optional in this recipe; use sour cream and a low carb flour substitute as a binder for the shredded vegetable instead.
Steak and salad. One of my favorite breakfasts. 'Nuff said.
There are some good low carb hot and cold cereals on the market made of things like flax and soy and psyllium. High fiber content here. Watch the ones that are too heavily sweetened with sugar alcohols or sugar substitutes and don't use those daily.
Smoked salmon and sour cream with caviar (a decadent breakfast). The English like kippers, which is another kind of tasty smoked fish.
When I am on the go, a handful of nuts or an Atkins shake might be my breakfast. The shakes aren't a good thing to use every day, but for me they work as a meal replacement when I'm in too much of a rush to cook a wholesome low carb meal.
Leftovers from dinner make a good breakfast. Chicken wings, leftover meat cubed and tossed in a salad or fried as a hash in a pan, a scoop of creamy mashed cauliflower with melted butter, etc.
