  • Beer Can Chicken Recipe needed!

I searched on the new recipe forum, but couldn't find it. Is it in some obvious place and I've just missed it?

    Thanks!!

Your basic beer-can-chicken recipe is as follows:

    1 Whole Chicken (insides removed)
    1 Can (low-carb) beer
    2 Tablespoons Vinegar
    Garlic to taste
    Salt and Pepper to taste
    Olive oil to coat chicken

Pour about 1/3 of your can of beer over the top of the chicken, massage it in

Take your chicken, coat it with Olive Oil (butter also works) and salt, pepper, and coat in garlic the outside of the skin.

Add the 2 tablespoons of vinegar and some more garlic into the can of beer.

Insert the can of beer into the hole in the bottom of the chicken (so that it looks as if the chicken is squatting over the can of beer, the open mouth of the beer can should be inside of the chicken).

Place on a hot, closed grill on medium to medium high heat until fully cooked (cooking times will vary by grill).

It is also possible to do in a hot (375 degree) oven over the period of about an hour and a half. In an over however you will want to place the entire assembly into a pan so that the drippings are caught.
