  • Pork Chops with cream mustard sauce -

    Hi There!

I just wanted to share this with everyone!
My hubby is a wicked cook and has embraced my WOE whole heartedly - well he's still high carbing it, but will adapt recipes to suit me. :P

Tonight he made me pork chops with creamy mustard sauce!
Wanted to share the sauce recipe.

    1 clove of garlic (minced)
    2 small gherkins (diced)
1 tsp of ready made mustard ( more or less to taste )
A bit of heavy single cream ( depends on how thick you want the sauce)
    salt and pepper to taste

Sautee garlic in butter, do not brown. Add gherkins and sautee for about a minute, then slowly add your cream in. Stirring all the time - reduce heat so as not to boil the cream (it will separate). When ready to serve up chops, add mustard salt and pepper to sauce and stir.

Top chops with a few table spoons!
    Yummy!

Try this for an awesome mustard sauce.

Toss into the food processor a few tablespoons of mustard (the coarse grained stuff), about 1/4 cup of walnuts and a tablespoon of capers, and then drizzle in a whole stick of melted butter while processing.

This is a very rich walnut-caper mustard butter that I use on chicken and pork.
