Re: Anyone have a mayonnaise recipe?
I think Not2late posted one a while back if I'm not mistaken.
I use Duke's mayo, it has always been sugar free. If you can't find Duke's WholeFoods brand is also sugar free although I don't personally like the taste of it.

Re: Anyone have a mayonnaise recipe?
Here you go, there was one in the recipe database
http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/recipe...ther%20Recipes
You know you can always go there and do a search, just click on recipes at the very top of the page towards the left side.

Re: Anyone have a mayonnaise recipe?
Thank you so much. I had done searches, but Im always skeptical of some websites out there.
Now heres another question, is it ok to not put the salt in the recipe, or so you think it helps to preserve the eggs a little longer. I can see why i didnt like mayo much before with the raw eggs. Wonder why our body never gets sick from it. The salmonila thing always worried me, especially after my Microbiology class.
Anyway, thank you VERY much for the link.

Here's a link for a cooked mayonnaise recipe. Just substitute or omit the sugar called for in the recipe

I love that recipe but I do use olive oil in mayo ....there is NOTHING in the world like home made mayo it is absolutely wonderful especially if you can get some fresh farm eggs and some wonderful ollive oil....you have inspired me for today I am going to the farmers market as soon as DH wakes up!!!!

Re: Anyone have a mayonnaise recipe?
Thank you not2late for the link. I am pasting it in my journal so I will have it where I can remember lol. And thank you Nursey for the suggestion. I think Id like this much better than at the store because I will know exactly what is in it with nothing hidden. I had seen websites that said that the carb count doesnt have to be monitored as strictly and it can have .01 or .9 and still call it 0 carb. Thanks a bunch guys!!!!

Re: Anyone have a mayonnaise recipe?
really simple mayo becomes a very wonderful and sort of pretentious sauce when you make your own!!! you can add what you like but do not add raw garlic to it and store it because you can get food poisoning from fresh raw garlic stored in oil!....just add it when you want to eat it that way ...I love a garlic and basil mayo with chicken!!!! kind of like a pesto!....
