  • Pork Chops??????????

    Hello,
I am new to this (1 week in) and I am having trouble figuring out how to make some good pork chops. I have some pretty thick bone in pork chops and I'm at a loss on how to prepare them. Any ideas????
    Thanks~

Well, I have thick boneless pork chops. I brown them in a frying pan and then transfer them to a baking dish. I dice up some mushrooms and brown them. Add them to Carb Options Alfredo sauce and smother the pork chops in it. Bake at 350 for 40-50 minutes and serve... Or I marinate them in Carb Options Teryaiki and grill them.

If you believe it, you can achieve it!!! :capital:

Hmmm, you could grill them. Marinate them in olive oil and anchovy, then grill them till they are done but still juicy. Nice and simple, yet also quite flavorful.

I was going to suggest the grill as well. I do have another idea though that I have used to batter shrimp for fried shrimp and I have used it on pork chops and chicken. First coat them in an egg wash and then coat both sides with parmesan cheese. It has worked well for me and my husband loves it!

If you are used to breading your pork chops, I coat the chops with egg and pork rinds. THen you can bake them or fry them up. Kinda give you a crunch to your chop. Pretty good! Kinda taste like grandma used to make. Oh make sure you salt and pepper them too!

I brush mine with Seseme oil and then sprinkle ginger, garlic and cayenne pepper on them. Bake until nice and brown. :joy

                Rem:

That one is very good, I have used the same spice mix for blackened short ribs too.

Also check out the 'Chili and Cheese Chops' recipe on Atkins.com, great for pork chops.

I like to cut a pocket into thick pork chops. I mix cream cheese, black olives, black pepper and garlic in a mini-chopper, and stuff that mixture into the center of the chops. Close with a toothpick and fry them in a little olive oil until brown on each side, then bake in the oven until cooked through. That cream cheese, black olive, garlic mixture is also great on celery stix or with flax crackers!
