    Kool-aid fluffy?

    Hey all,

At one point I saw a post for something to do with unsweetened Kool-aid to make a fluffy dessert/snack. Can anyone point me in the direction to find it?

I love that stuff, just made some today. Do a search for "miracle fluff" in the recipes section.

    But, the recipe is:

1 pint whipping cream whipped into stiff peaks (set aside)
1 package Philadelphia cream cheese (softened)
    1/2 cup boiling water
    1 package sugar free jello

Mix the jello into the boiling water, then beat together with the cream cheese. Then add in the whipped cream in small batches, beating together as you go. Allow to cool in fridge for a couple of hours.

Sugar-free jello contains aspartame, doesn't it?? Be very careful with that stuff...it can stall some people....

you can make your own jellp with gelatin poder unflavored like KNOX and any sugar free Splenda flavored soda as your liquid or you can use sugarfree syrups like the davinci but you need lots so you might want to avoid that. you acn use sugar free Koolaid as the liquid too after you have sweetened it.

Do you think I could replace the jello with unsweetened kool-aid and Knox gelatin or something? Hmmm, darn aspartame!

                JoAnne,

Do you have to order the syrup online or is there a store that carries it? Also, can you have that on EI?

Yes, but only 3 servings (see side of bottle for serving size) per day. SF syrups (especially DaVinci and Torani brands) are heaven sent and made of liquid Splenda, so they have no bulkening agents (no Dextrose carbs).

                    Kent,

So basically I would count them as I do three Splenda packets. Cool. I will have to find a website that has them. Any suggestions?

Kroger carries some in the coffee section. Walmart used to hsave them i don't know if they still do.
Da Vinci Syrups has a cool site and lots of SF flavors but don't go there if you are huingry

I went to the DaVinci website and bought four flavors. I got the peanut butter, a gingerbread one, a lemon-lime and a caramel one. I don't what in the devil I will use them in, but I will find something dang it!

My recommendation on one to buy - pancake syrup. Another good place to purchase DaVinci is Ebay ($4-5 a bottle), and for Torani syrups, World Market. They were on sale for $5.99 two or three weeks ago. I would recommend Tom's store (http://www.lowcarbohydrateproducts.c...pl?Category=6), but he only has Almond right now. ick
