  • what can I do with soy flour?

I brought soy flour instead of almond flour.. duhhhh.

I'm very new to this cooking stuff LOL

Can I bake with soy flour? I really want to make something like cookies.. i've found alot of recipes with almond flour but non really with soy flour.
    Can anyone help?

If not cookies, or something similar... what CAN I do with soy flour?

    thanx

I use soy flour a lot...being here in japan it is easy to get.
I use it for thickening gravies, and I love it to coat chicken for frying.

I do use it for some baking, but it has a strong taste, so the cookies or bread tht you back needs to also have a strong taste. my best results have been with peanut butter cookies, the peanut butter almost cancels out the taste of the soy flour. I also make a quck biscuit out of half flax half soy flour, and that is not bad.

however, living in japan for 10 years i have become very used to the taste of soy and it probably doesn't bother me as much as some, so whatever you decide to try, make a small batch first...

oh yeah, I made eclairs with it too, and they came out ok

You can make onion rings. Just saw Low Carb and Lovin' It on the Food Channel. He also made fried chicken. The recipe is on the website. Looks yummy!!!
