  • Anyone know the almond flour cookie recipe??

Hi All, I'm looking for the induction-friendly Almond Flour cookie recipe. I got it off the recipe site years ago and have lost it. I know it had almond flour, oil, sweetener (I use sugar twin) and Almond flavouring. The almond flour keeps the carb count down and I would love to have this receipe again. Thanks for any help you can give me. Cheers & good luck!!

repeat after me Since DANDR 2002 rule 5 says eat only those foods on the acceptable foods lists

there are no ALMOND FLOUR induction acceptable cookies!!!

No Nuts of any kind are not on the induction acceptable foods lists.

there are OWL acceptable almond flour cookies and whewn you get there you can try them.

Is someone giving out cookies? *hands on hips*

{{{Castoridae}}} I don't know that recipe off-hand, but I'll keep an eye open for it! Lauren and 2big are right...no almond flour on induction, but only because it plays wibbly wobbly with your blood sugars initially. We want you with not wibbly-wobbly!

                Hi Guys!!
wellll.... I did say it was years ago around late 90's to 2001/2002, I think; there weren't many Atkins products at the time available in Canada and I probably was not on Induction - HOWEVER -- I still need that recipe. Its only one more week of induction and then I can start looking at these yummy recipes to keep my sweet tooth quiet.

well since we are all in agreement it isn't induction safe here you go

                  Ingredients:
                  • 2 cups almond flour
                  • your favorite sweetner sub equal to 1/2 cup of sugar
                  • 1 stick unsalted butter softened
                  • 1/2 teaspoon salt (if using salted butter, omit salt here)
                  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
                  • 1 teaspoon almond extract
                  Preheat oven to 300°F.

Combine all ingredients. Form dough in to pingpong balls and place onto greased cookie sheet. Bake for 5 minutes. Press down lightly with fork, then continue to bake for another 15 minutes. Let cool.

carb count will depend on the extracts you use and the nut flour how course it is ground if you make your own

Re: Anyone know the almond flour cookie recipe??

Hey 2big thanks so much for the recipe. Today is day 8 on induction for me. What I try to do to quiet my sweet craving on Induction is make the Atkins 3g carb pancakes. Since I can no longer get that yummy Atkins pancake no carb syrup, I've been making my own: melted salt butter, sugar twin and maple flavouring. I guess with the company going belly-up we are all going to have to dig up those old recipes.
I did find one for almond pancakes, which I will post once I re-locate it!!
Thanks again, I really appreciate this. Cheers, Castoridae

Re: Anyone know the almond flour cookie recipe??

atkins pancakes for induction? what are the ingredients? we have a cream cheese induction pancake and a flaxmeal and a pysllium (both rule 12) pancake but I haven't heard of an Atkins induction acceptable by the 2002 book pancake.
rmemeber you need to get to the nuts rung that would be number 3 before you can have those in OWL.
I'd strongly recommend you read DR ATKINS NEW DIET REVOLUTION the 2002 version with all the changes to help you be a better long term Atkins keep off the pounds success.

                      Happy low carbing.

What I've noticed on the Atkins products, is that if the product is not acceptable for those on induction, it says so. The Atkins original pancake and waffle mix iwth the 3gs of carbs, does not have the warning statement.

Re: Anyone know the almond flour cookie recipe??

You guys have me worried now about those pancakes. so I went to my cupboard and pulled out all the Atkins packages: blueberry muffin mix say not acceptable for those on induction; so does the cornbread mix say this, so does the peppermint chocolate wafers. But the orignal 3g pancake mix and the 3 g bake mix DO NOT say this. Today is day 8 of induction. Please, please do not tell me that I've been screwing up for 8 days. My 'pee' sticks register pink as always, so I haven't knocked my self out of ketosis. You do have me worried thougth.........

on ADBB we follow Dr Atkins last book DANDR 2002 and for you to do a clean induction those products aren't allowed. you have done a not so clean induction but if you are losing and are in control of your sweet tooth and food cravings doing it your way then you are fine. If you aren't then you need tio check out chapter 11 of DANDR and eat only what it says not what boxes from ANA say you can have. Dr Atkins wanted us to have maximun control of our blood sugar level so we could be sucessful long time big loser and no those Slim Fast yo-yo dieters. Happy low carbing.

Ok, I'm shelving the pancake mix until I'm on a safer (higher) level. Tomorrow, on the way home from Church, I'm going to stop by my favourite used book store and see if they have a copy of the 2002 version; it will be my 3rd copy, already having the 1972 copy and the other one.... whatever year it is. Thanks for the warning!!
