  • Turnip Fries?

I know that people have posted in the past that they make french fries out of turnips, but how exactly do you do this? When I cook turnips, they come out really soft and juicy/squishy, not at all like french fries.

    Thanks!

    Re: Turnip Fries?

The turnip fries recipe I use is the one in the Recipe section of DANDR 2002, called "oven-fried turnips". IIRC, that recipe calls for chili powder, which I leave out.

Thanks! I didn't even realize that there's a recipe in DANDR.

Yup, it's in the back of the book---meat dishes, vegetable dishes, desserts, sauces and dressings. Actually it was the first thing I noticed when I bought DANDR.
