  • Chicken Wings recipe for induction???

Anyone have a good buffalo or chicken wing recipe suitable for induction?

I've been eating the ones from Pizza Hut but I'm really beginning to wonder if there are some ingredients that are a no-no for induction!

was thinking of making my own, that way I know what the ingredients are!

Toss them in half Frank's hot sauce (can you get that there?) and half melted butter. Depends on how many wings you have. For me a couple of tablespoons of each will coat about 18 wing halves. Then I bake them. You could fry them first, but I find that's too messy and I can't be bothered. You can also dip them in melted garlic butter and then in parmesan cheese and bake them. Both versions are yummy. The second one is a bit more carby with the cheese, but if you plan for them in your cheese allowance they are delish.

I personally go to the grocery store and get a bag of frozen wings, but beware, some are glazed...don't get those. Just the plain ones will do.

Then I march my fanny over by the salad dressing/hot sauce/ condiments isle and grab a bottle of either Franks Red Hot I think it's called..but either way, it's buffalo sauce with no sugar added!!! Just yummy peppers. Their are a couple of different ones that have no sugar added, but you have to check.

I make them how it says right on the back of the bottle. I can't remember exactly but maybe 45min - 1 hour then pour the sauce over them.

I personally bake the chicken , then pour some over them and bake a little more, maybe 5-10 minutes so that the sauce bakes on a little. Then I take them out and pour the rest of the sauce over them. They are UM, UM, Good!

      Hope this helps!

Lady, I like how you coat them, then bake them. I was afraid b/c I wasn't sure if the chicken would cook! I am new at this whole baking thing. Are the wings sticky after they are cooked?

My fav way to eat chicken wings is to get just plain wings; deep fry them, drain on paper towels and then add salt, five spice powder and a squeeze of lemon juice. Soooooo good!

No. They are crispy and taste a bit spicy. Some people might like it more spicy, but I'm still new at spicy food. They do cook though. I put them in the oven at 350 degrees for about 45 minutes on a tin foil covered baking sheet. They are crispy without frying. If you wanted them more saucy then I guess you could baste them with extra hot sauce and butter.

I like your idea Sally, but I don't have a deep fryer and pan frying is too messy. Sounds yummy though.

The bottle of Franks' Hot Sauce (not the wing sauce) has the recipe for Buffalo Chicken wings on it. I bake my wings too. Then I mix up the sauce recipe according to the bottle and toss the cooked wings in that. Sometimes I add a clove of minced garlic to the sauce and red pepper flakes to the sauce too.

Franks Red Hot is the best. I saw Emeril had a wing sauce out now too that I believe is induction friendly as well.

Wings are also good grilled til crispy and them dipped in the sauce!

I get the plain wings and coat them with CarbOption Asian Teriyaki sauce sometimes for something different. There's no carbs or sugar in the sauce. Really Good!

Here is another one, a little different, that I posted a while back, not hot, but a good recipe none the less.
This was published in our local newspaper.

                    Heroin Wings

                    Ingredients:

                    4 pounds chicken wings
1 cup grated Parmesan (the inexpensive kind in the canister works best)
                    2 tablespoons dried parsley
                    1 tablespoon oregano
                    2 teaspoons paprika
                    1 teaspoon salt
                    1/2 teaspoon pepper
                    1/2 cup butter

                    Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Line a shallow baking pan with foil. Do not omit this step or you will have a very messy cleanup afterward.

Cut wings into drumettes. (Save the pointy tips to make broth later.)

In a shallow bowl, combine Parmesan with parsley, oregano, paprika, salt and pepper. Melt butter in another shallow pan or bowl.

Dip each wing in butter, then in seasoned Parmesan and arrange on the foil-lined pan. Bake for 1 hour. Then kick yourself for not making a double batch.

Once you've tried these addictive wings, you'll understand the name, Dana Carpender says.
