  • Suggestions for Fish

I have 3 cod filets all thawed and I'd like to eat them tonight! Anyone got a good general fish recipe or even better a cod specific one?

    Thanks!

i have homemade sugar free Emeril essence that stuf he goes BAM with and sprinkle it on top and cajan the fish in the pan..

you can do a cod stew too if you like as the big chunks of the fish should hold up well in the liquid if you add them after the veggies are cooked. add a little cram as the thickener just before serving yum yum.

you can make a nice lemon butter sause with melted butter one stick, lemon juice one t and zest and cream 2T heated in the pan until thickened. I add garlic and green onions to mine and sautee them in the butter before adding the juice zest and cream if you use whole onions you can sub them for the green parts but you get more carbs.

I've dredged cod fillets (and other white fish) in a little parmesan, ground almonds (depending on what phase you're in) and salt/pepper to taste. Pan fried medium heat in little veggie oil ... time depending on thickness, but usually less then a 5 minutes each side. It's very good.

Edited to add: you can use an egg (beaten) to dip first before the dredging for better sticking action

I'm thinking of trying this with cod:

I'm not a big fan of "butter & lemon" baked fish really. Hopefully this enhances it a bit.

looks good. if you like garlic you can make garlic mayo either home made mayo too or just crush 2 cloves of galic and add to a cup of mayo and put on top before you bake the fish.

i love Old Bay seasoning so my favorite way to do cod is covered in Old Bay and then steamed. Also like it prepared baked covered in onion slices and garlic.

I pour melted butter over it, roll it in parmesian cheese and sprinkle it with dill. It's delicious!
