  • Looking for Cheesecake

My b'day is apr 30. I am currently on extended induction until then. I would like a cheesecake recipe so while the fam is enjoying that yellow box cake, I can have a treat of my very own.

The absolute best recipe is George Stella's New York Ricotta cheesecake! I believe its around here somewhere, if not you can get it from www.foodnetwork.com Let me see if I can find it for you!

There is a link to it in this thread, but I'm having a trouble with the food network site right now, maybe try it again later

Personally I like Carylton Cooper's idea for Easter.. she piles a cheesecake on top of a carrot cake in her "carb-less for all seasons" book. I think her desserts are the best I've found. Her web page is easy to find and has lots of photos. I found her through Jimmy Moore's blog and she's on of his favorite authors.

If the "carrot cake" has carrots in it, its not going to be induction friendly.

              Re: Looking for Cheesecake

The carrots in CC's carrot cake have only 9 carbs and has over a dozen servings. Splenda is 22 carbs per cup. We tend to discount these when making desserts.
The carrot and cheesecakes can be made independantly anyway. This post is about cheesecakes really.

Even at 9 carbs, drosa is on induction so they're still not allowed. But at any rate, I tried to find that website you mentioned, the only one I can find of hers is selling stuff, I didn't see any recipes or pictures. Do you remember what the website address is by chance?

Ditto mother of gizmo, I reached a web page selling low carb book... I printed
George Stella's recipe, its seems more Atkins friendly..

                  Thanks to all.

                    Yes, it's
                    www.carb-less.com
and the pictures are under a tab called "photo gallery"
Sorry, I didn't mean to give the impression that there were free recipes there.
