  • Polish dishes

Well, I know I can do a search on the internet and find tons (actually I already have) but I was wondering if anyone out there has tried and true authentic polish recipes to share. I know I want to make the ground meat rolled in cabbage (it depends what website you go to what they call it it seems to have several different names) My BF grew up w/ a Polish Mom so of course I have to try to live up to his expectations if I attempt to fix a polish dish, so give me some good ones please guys--make me look good! LOL

We called it Galunkee (sure I spelled it wrong). Other then kielbasa and kraut not sure of any polish dishes that would be atkins friendly. Perhaps a (again spelled incorrectly) palatzski (potato pancake) from turnips would work. Oh how I will miss my parents pierogis though but really don't see an adequate way to substitute them.
