  • flaxmeal hotcakes?

I have heard of these from time to time. Are they really yummy? I am ready for something new on Saturday morning? Anyone?

I haven't tried the pancakes but I understand the cinnamon rolls are delicious. I also like the "Cant Believe its not French Toast" made out of pork rinds.

oh I love flaxmeal hotcakes they are sort of like harvest grain pancakes.

you really do have to cook them on low in a covered frying pan 4 min a side or they are raw in the inside and done on the outside.

I loke mine spread with pumpkinbutter which is a fance term of 1/4 cup of pumpkin mixed with 1 ounce of softened creamcheese and pie spice mix to taste.

I use the recipe in our database. http://www.lowcarbrecipes.org/recipe...t%20Beginnings

I like them a lot. I used to make them all the time, but moved away from them. They're really good with either butter or cream cheese is even better!

Yes!! I was going to make pancakes for my dd and her friend tomorrow morning. I'm planning to make some of these for myself. A little butter and a tiny sprinkle of splenda on top is good too.

if you are making flaxcakes for one I use
1/4 c flax seed meal you can buy it in the grocery store, healthfood store or online
              1/4 t baking powder
dash of pie spice, but you can use nutmegor cinnamon.
              1egg
              1Tablespoon each of oil,cream,sourcream,and water

              preheat frying pan on medium
              mix dry ingredients
              add wet ingredients and mix.
let sit about 5 min to allow the flax to develope
              batter will be thick
spoon into frying pan should make 4 cakes
cook on medium covered of 4 min
              flip gently
              cook 4 more minutes

top with whatever you want OWL rung 4 folk can use berries, rung 3 nut butter, inductees can use splends and cinanom mix, cream cheese and cinanom, a davinci syrup or what ever you want from yyour food list. OLWs can use berries or nut butters.

like I said I spread mine with pumpkin mixed with creamcheese and pie scice mix.
