Well it does not have cream cheese or lc milk, but this smoothie by NurseLady is really good. And the cream cheese is okay for Induction, but the lc milk would have to wait for the proper rung in OWL. HTH

    PUMPKIN SMOOTHIE
for 2 large servings toss into the blender

1 cup cooked pumpkin puree (I roast pumpkin chunks with a little butter and kosher salt in a heavy duty covered pan in the oven until very soft) to make it easy use canned pumpkin it is great as well!
1/2 cup heavy cream (use less if you want to)
cinnamon, nutmeg and ginger to taste (or any combo of pumpkin spices you like)
    1 tsp vanilla (check label)
2 tsp maple extract (check label)
splenda to taste (I actually leave it out as I do not use the stuff)
2 cups ice and just enough water to get it going in the blender I am thinking it takes about a cup)
blend well and enjoy!!!! you can make this festive with a dollop of whipping cream sprinkle of cinnamon

you can toss a fresh raw egg in and call it breakfast!!

*I am sure you could play with the recipe and make it into something chocolate with unsweetned cocoa.

I cant wait to try it! Thankyou for replying. Am i wrong in saying that on page 257 of essentials they even suggest you use hood carb count down, instead of milk or watered down heavy cream? I know that doesn't apply to induction.. RiGHT?? :anger anyways i'm off to make my nurse lady shake! Thanks again, G.

Not afraid to answer, just came back... (not sure what that was all about urplequ: )

I can't answer your question, because I do not follow Essentials. I follow DANDR 2002 edition and feel that Essentials was written after Dr. Atkins died only to promote their lc products. Sorry I can't help you more.

Calyn, what a great recipe. At first I thought, yew pumpkin pie in a glass, but since I had a half can of pumpkin in the refrig that needed using, I gave it a try and it was pretty good.
