  • Needed Recipes for Industion

After a long absence, I am starting the Atkins way of eating again. I need all the recipes I can get for Induction. I plan to start as soon as I brush-up on everything I need to know before starting. I have Linda's Low Carb recipes and Low Carb Friends. If there is a section here on the Atkins Diet Bulletin Board that has just induction recipes, please let me know.

    Thanks,
    Katherine

    Induction is the easy part!
Just go to the meat section of the store.
Look around, see what's on sale.
    Then stock up!!!
    get some beef, pork, chicken
    get some salad veggies.
if you got something for the crock pot, then get some veg that will season it well (carrot, celery, onion) maybe some green beans.

I menu plan backwards. I find the sale items and build around that. Saves me money that way. Also I get tough cuts that have to cook for a long time, more money saved.

I love steaks and such, but the cost is too high, so I like roasts.

    Good luck!!!!

Buffalo wings, not just for breakfast anymore.

yeah, don't eat the carrots. I include them as an aromatic veg. only. same with the onion really.

carrot/celery/onion is the classic french mire poix for seasoning.
onion/green pepper/celery is the cajun trinity
either one will be great for seasoning, but they get mushy in the crock, so don't really plan on eating them.

Thanks again Chef Kevin. Thanks to you also 2big. Yes, I remembered no carrots on induction, they also contain some natural sugars. I'm type 2 diabetic so I need to watch out for the natural sugars. I didn't know you could use them for seasoning though. I learn something new everyday.

            Thanks again, guys.
