mmm, wow, I have no clue lol... definately inform us after you prepare it though... generallyI love organ meats (sweetbreads, liver, etc). The only I haven enjoyed was tripe, but that was probably my befuddled preparation of it. I need to find someone mexican to prepare an authentic menudo before I pass final judgement...

Wow you are almost to goal! Congradulations. I'll let you know how I try it and how it goes. Was really cheap at the store so he snagged one to try.
i am a little squemish... but will at least try a taste. DH on the other hand will pretty much eat anything that doesn't eat him first. So he sees it as an adventure.

The only time I have ever had heart it was to cut other meats with to make a dish less expensive. I had it ground up and added to ground chuck for mexican dishes, like enchiladas.

Oh, **** yeah! I marinate sliced beef hearts in a mixture of red wine and broth (to keep the wine carbs a little lower) with a TON of crushed garlic and some chili peppers and plenty of olive oil. This is an Argentine recipe that is absolutely yummy. The slices are barbecued, grilled or broiled. Delicious. I enjoy it a lot.

This also makes awesome beef jerky by the way.
