    Hi everybody,

I just got 2 bags of pork rinds today and I'm interested in hearing some of your favorite recipes for what to do with them...I did a search, but didn't come up with very many recipes...please share!

Actually, I just eat them, sometimes with sour cream dip and sometimes plane. I have seen folks using them as coatings though

Yes...my sister tells me you can chop them up in a food processor and use them like breadcrumbs...She didn't care for the Ketocrumbs...Does anyone have any recipes for using them in this capacity? I'm always looking to cook something new.

I'm a little hesitant to eat them straight up...(haven't tried them yet), but I'm willing to try anything once...and if you say they're good, they must be, Thanks for the idea Desertthorn.

bROOK HAS A KILLER MOCK FRENCH TOAST RECIPE THAT GOT MENTIONED ON FOODNETWORK oops sorry didn't mean to yell at you.

just remember every where you see Dr Atkins talking about them in DANDR it is a few or qwith some. When they did the Atkins study at DUKE according to the ADBB memeber who was a participant Dr Atkins told the docs to limit them to only 1 cup a day so don't eat the whole back and it is a cup of them precrushed not afterwards.

I use pork rinds to make awesome LC pizza:

Linda's Low-Carb also has a Deep-Dish Pizza recipe that is pretty much the same crust but without the pork rinds, and though a lot of people are really into that version, it's not as bready for me and I really prefer the one with the pork rinds. But to each his own.

OH MY GOD! Is that actually a picture of the pizza this recipe makes? If it IS, I'm totally making it! Thanks changing, it looks great!

                  Re: Pork Rinds

Yup, the pizza comes out looking just like that!! I always spray my metal pan with a ton of non-stick cooking spray before I put the crust on, and it comes out great.

                    Re: Pork Rinds

Its not really a recipe, but I like to have them with grated cheese over the top of them and then nuked in the microwave for about 30 seconds.

They go slightly soft and the cheese makes a nice topping.

                      Re: Pork Rinds

I take my pork chops and dip them in egg. Crush the pork rinds and add spices. Then press the chops in the crushed rinds with spices until they are evenly coated. I then fry them in a little oil in a fry pan. They are delicious. My BF who will not touch a pork rind loves fried chops this way!

I use them to replace bread crumbs in meatloaf. I made one last night, it was fantastic!

Also, use them to bread mushrooms. Mix equal parts of rinds and parmesan cheese, dip mushroom in egg then mixture and fry... serve with horseradish sauce!

I was thinking of mixing it with parmesan cheese and making eggplant fries...

My god that pizza looks lush!! I've tried chicken covered in porn rinds and deep fried them, it was really good. I was abit sceptical of the pork flavour but it is minimal.
