  • Recipes for Thai or Indian dishes

Even though I am a midwesterner I got hooked on spicy food about five years ago. I am really missing curries in particular. What is my sub for coconut milk(real cream?). I have no problem serving the curries over raw chopped cabbage, I actually like that better than rice.

Anybody out there making low carb Thai or Indian dishes? Please share!

Try substituting sour cream for the yogurt and cream for the milk (though perhaps not quite as much - or thin it with a little more water).

what wrong with coconut cream???? There are very little carbs in a 1/4 cup (1.5 carbs) which make it a whopping 8 grams per tin and you can always thin it out. Personally I use 1 tin for a curry that will serve 6 so that is well under 1 carb per person per tin
