Re: green bean recipes
try this
just take the green beans and saute them in a plain oil like canola with smashed garlic, fresh grated ginger and chopped up green onions then before serving give them a shot of toasted sesame oil and soy sauce...
now if you want something more simple ...just saute them in butter or olive oil with fresh cracked pepper and kosher salt ...
I have had them served with scrambled eggs and they are quite good like that as well with some garlic and green onion ..add a shot of soy sauce ..

Re: green bean recipes
I do them basically the same way as Heidi.
Sometimes I 'smother' them too (but only in the summer). You need one small tomato or half a medium tomato, chop it. Then heat up your pan, add oil and chopped garlic. Then add the tomato and let it cook until it's broken down. Then add the green beans, cover and let them steam until cooked. This dish tastes good hot, but it's also good room temperature or cool (with a squirt of lemon before serving).~Megs~

Re: green bean recipes
I used vegetable oil to fry them in. And, on my deep fryer, it has a setting for potatoes, so that's what I used. I don't know what exact temperature...but use whatever you'd use to make french fries.~Joy

Re: green bean recipes
LOL You know I started to search for a deep fried recipe for you and found out that not all people just fry them plain, but they fry them battered as well and dip in ranch. Man that actually sounds pretty good!
I usually eat mine with bacon and red onion.. sooo good as stated above. I also mix them into soups, stews, use as noodles like Linda does. They are good fillers in just about everything. Green beans and tomatos are a pretty good combination as well.
