    Re: Need syrup recipe

Well, unfortunately, there doesn't appear to be any out there. I remember Atkins products made a pancake syrup but it was like water....

I found some suggestions though, a couple induction friendly a couple not,

one site says after you cook your pancakes, spread butter, sprinkle with cinnamon and splenda or sugar free grape jelly that sounds kind of weird to me, however, that would pretty much blow your 3 sweetened items out the window I'm sure.

another suggests, frozen fruit and sprinkled splenda....this sounds delicious however wouldn't be legal until the fruit rung, and it might be a good use for the small amount of fruit you would get to use....

Sorry not being able to help....

Hmm I found this in Dana Carpender's 500 More Low Carb Recipes....

'This is actually easy to find; all my local grocery stores carry it - indeed, they have more than one brand. It's usually with the regular pancake syrup, but may be lurking with the diabetic foods. It's jut like regular pancake syrup, only it's made from polyols instead of sugar. I use it in small quantities to get that maple flavor'

You might want to try the Diabetic aisle in the grocey store, but be really careful.

        Hi Sweet
ok, I have made a couple of syrups. You might need to adjust them according to your own personal taste.
A Lemon Syrup made by adding half a teaspoon of gelatine to about 1/3 cup of boiling water. Stir until dissolved and add 2 teaspoons of lemon juice and I use 1 sachet of Splenda. Mix it all well and put in the fridge for about 10mins or so and it becomes a delicious thick syrup.

A Chocolate Syrup I have made using again about 1/3 cup boiling water, 1 tablespoon of cream, 2 Splenda and a tablespoon of Cocoa. Mix it all well and the longer it stands, the thicker it gets.

This is making me hungry!! lol Those fluffy egg pancakes are so good
